↑ No birth is recorded in Source:Vital records of Weymouth, Massachusetts, to the year 1850. Birth before 1661 is based on observation that first son was named John after their father, so if we assume first daughter was named Sarah after their mother, she would have been born before Mary in 1663. This would appear to be supported by the list of daughters in the will of John Whitmarsh which lists Sarah first. Since Simon was b. 1661/2, one would suspect Sarah must have been born before 1661/2, since there is little room to squeeze in between Simon and Mary. Since the marriage of her parents is described as "near 1654", it is probably only an estimated date based on the assumption that John is the oldest child, but we technically only know that he is the oldest son. So, whether she was born before John in 1655, between John and Ebenezer b. 1658, or between Ebenezer in 1658 and Simon in 1661/2 is unknown.
