Sarah Tracy was born as Jennie Tracy in Brookline, MA on 23 Oct 1867. She had an identical twin sister, Anna. The twins and their siblings were orphaned in 1874 when their mother was killed by their abusive father, and he was presumably incarcerated.

Jennie, a sister Mary Ann and a brother were sent to live with their aunt, Rose Meaney, in Brooklyn, NY. The Meaney's already had a daughter named Jane, so to avoid confusion, Jennie Tracy was renamed Sarah Jane.

Sarah's twin, Anna, married Frank Cleary. Sarah married Frank's younger brother John.

In 1900, 2 children, 2 living (S6)
