Ruth Jo "Stormy" Kirby-Smith, 83, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2003 in Rockport. She was born Dec. 20, 1919 in San Francisco, CA to Joseph and Rae Bolten. She was a registered nurse and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After residing in El Paso for many years, she moved to Rockport 15 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Jo (Steven) of Roanoke, granddaughters Holly (Robert) Melofsky of Hickory Creek, and Summer (Fabio) Orndorff of Maryland and two great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 25 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel.
