  5. Runge, Russell Raymond Richard Age 82, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012. The Milwaukee, WI native was an Army veteran, serving in Korea from 1951-1953 with the 92nd Armored Field Artillery Battalion Red Devils, and was a member of the VFW Runge Brothers Post #1691. Russell was retired as President of Gregg Metal Products, Inc. in Menomonee Falls, WI, and as owner and founder of Runge's Pony Hitch, also of Menomonee Falls. His ponies proudly pulled the Sprecher Brewery Beer wagon and participated in Wisconsin State Fair parades for over 20 years. He also participated in the Great Circus Parades of Baraboo, Milwaukee and Chicago. He was Superintendent of the Wisconsin State Fair Animal Care Building and in his younger years an active member of the Circle S Riding Club. Russell was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls, and the Abiding Love Lutheran Church in Cape Coral. Russell was predeceased by his brother Earl Runge and daughter Dawn Murphy. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Donna Runge, daughter Heidi Wied and husband Lawrence of Madison, WI; son Russell Runge and wife Jane of Richfield, WI; son-in-law Dean Murphy of Montclair, NJ; and 8 grandchildren, James, Kyle and Peter Wied, Russell and Steven Runge, and Christian, Justin and Devin Murphy. He also leaves behind sisters-in-law Jean Runge of Watertown, WI, and Yvonne Kops of Wauwatosa, WI, with nephews Brian and Michael Runge, Thomas Kops and niece Beth Haberstroh as well as other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Sat., July 28, 2012 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, W156 N5436 Bette Dr., Menomonee Falls, WI, with Pastor Jim Behringer officiating. Visitation 12-2 PM. Service at 2PM.
