Obituary taken from The Bryan Times, Dec. 7, 1993, p. 3, c. 1 Robert W. Richard Camden, Mich. --- Robert W. Richard, 80, 323 E. Bell St., Apt. 108, Camden, died Monday, Dec. 6, 1993, at Lakeland Nursing Home in Angola, Ind. Born in Williams County, Ohio, on Oct. 24, 1913, he was the son of Alva (Edwards) and William Richard. He was a farmer, and was a retired employee of the former Hayes-Albion Corp. facility in West Unity, Ohio, Mr. Richard attended the Montpelier, Ohio, area schools. At one time he served as marshal of Camden. On Oct. 24, 1933, he married Violet Gowthrop, and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Carma) Strang of Camden; three sons, Ronald and Roger, both of Camden, and John of Alvordton, Ohio; two sisters, Pearl Pike of Monticello, Iowa, and Ruby Huber of Holliday, Fla.; a brother, Rex of Beaufort, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a grandson. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the St. John-White Funeral Home, Camden. Burial will be in Camden Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after noon today, when the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Preferred memorials are to the Reading Emergency Unit. References
