Obituary taken from the Bryan Times, October 3, 1988, p. 3 RICHARD E. BURCHAM, SR. Montpelier -- Richard E. Burcham Sr., 58, 1012 Maplehurst Ave., Montpelier, died Sunday evening, Oct. 2, 1988, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Ind., where he was admitted Saturday. He had become suddenly ill on Saturday.

  Born in Montpelier on March 10, 1930, he was the son of Ethel M. (Creek) and Robert Burcham.
  In 1970 he retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service.  He then came back to Montpelier, where he has been plant manager of Robinair Division Sealed Power Corp.
  On March 17, 1953, he married Maureen Whittle in St. John's, Newfoundland, and she survives.
  Also surviving are two sons, Richard E. Jr. and Brian P., both of Montpelier; four daughters, Mrs. Pat (Lynn) O'Shea of Kitchener, Ontario, Mrs. Ted (Kathryn) Huston and Patricia Burcham, both of Montpelier, and Karen Burcham of Stratford, Ontario; nine grandchildren; his parents, who live in Montpelier; and a sister, Mrs. Richard (Eloise) Barnhart of RFD 1, Montpelier.
  Mass of the resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Montpelier, with the Rev. Father Nelson Beaver officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier.
  Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier, where the rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.  Preferred memorials are to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
