PHILLIPS -- Raymond Orberton, 58, died unexpectedly at his home here Friday morning.
Born June 23, 1904 at Brockton, Mass., he was the son of John F. and Emma Tyler Orberton. He had lived in Phillips and Avon all his life and was employed at the Forster Manufacturing Co. mill, Strong, and at Phillips Wood Heel Co. until his retirement three years ago because of ill health.
Mr. Orbeton was a past noble grand of Mt. Saddleback Lodge, IOOF; a past chief patriarch of Sandy River Encampment; and a member of Canton Mt. Blue and Hope Rebeckah Lodge; a past master of North Franklin Pomona, Phillips Men's Club, and Nazarene Church, Strong.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Wilcox, Avon; Mrs. Arbeth Hodgkins, Rangeley; and a brother, Robert, Avon. |
