    Vol. 38, p. 124 15 Nov 1814: Edmund Stiles of Wendell Yeoman [also signed by Elizabeth Stiles] for $400 conveys to Phinehas Stiles of Wendell Yeoman the north half of the lot I bought of Joseph Pepper containing about 30 acres.

    Vol. 38, p. 223 3 Oct 1817: Phinehas Stiles of Wendell Yeoman for $63 mortgages to William Johnson of Wendell Yeoman a parcels being
    the north half of the form on which I live & is the one my father Bought of Joseph Pepper' containing about 30 acres.

    [Note: the following two deeds appear to be the selling of all real estate held by Phineas and the last records of him seen in Franklin County.]

    Vol. 50, p. 165 2 Mar 1822: Phinehas Stiles of Wendell Yeoman [and Abigail Wife of the said Phinehas] for $160 conveys to Jonathan Brown of Wendell Gentleman about 32 acres in Wendell part of the farm on which I now live on west side of the road.

    Vol. 50, p. 281 21 Mar 1822: Phinehas Stiles of Wendell Yeoman [and Abigail my wife] for $200 conveys to Joshua Green of Wendell Esquire the farm whereon I now live, the old part of which contains about thirty acres. Also 11 1/2 acres of wood land subject to a mortgage to William Johnson.

  7. Source:Guild, Mary Stiles Paul. Stiles Family in America, p. 39, shows the uncle Phineas Stiles [#95] having the two marriages shown here even though he was born in 1738 and would have been 59 at the first child's birth and 71 at the last child's birth. Clearly the deed shows the actual man had a father named Edmund, and the censuses show he was born in the 1760s, and so the actual man involved in these marriages was the much more age-appropriate nephew Phineas [#99], to whom this source attributes no further information than his birth.
