Kewadin - Paula Raymond Fernsemer 32, of Kewadin, died Fri at Munson Medical Center. Formerly of Lake Orion, she had been a resident of Kewadin for 2 years. She was employed as an operator at Michigan Bell in Traverse City. She was member of Michigan Nature Assoc, Wheatland Music Co-op and loved the outdoors. She was also a member of the Oryana Food Co-op in Traverse City, Communications Workers of America, the United Way and the Great Lakes Chustnub Alliance. Born Feb 5, 1959 in Detroit she was the daughter of Norman J. and Betty (Valco) Raymond. On St. Patrick's Day 1990, on Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands, she married Brian Paul Fernsemer. She is survived by her husband of Kewadin, her parents of Kalkaska; 2 brothers, Rocky of Escondido, CA & Joe of Orion, MI; 2 sisters, Janet Adler & Lisa Raymond, both of Utica. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Joseph & Georgiana Raymond & Thomas & Helen Valco. Memorial Mass at 10am Tues at Sacred Heart RC in Elk Rapids, the Rev Arthur Mulka will officiate. She was cremated and her ashes scattered in the outdoors she loved.
