    Otto Hoffmeister, 86, of Route 9, Topeka, died Friday at a local hospital.

    He was born in Berlin, Germany, December 27, 1864, and came to the United States when he was 16. A member of the Oak Grange, he has lived in the vicinity of Topeka since coming to this country.

    Mr. and Mrs. Hoffmeister celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in May. Survivors include his wife, Frances, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Cerogia Dupzyk, Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Grace MOORE, Route 9; five sons, Richard, Rawlins, Wyo., James, Route 7, Howard and Charles of the home, and Chief August Hoffmeister, U.S. Navy, Albuquerque; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
