    Case 18582 "Oliver Reed 1839".

    7 May 1839: "Letty Reed of Townsend in said county widow Respectfully represents That Oliver Reed - tanner - who last dwelt in Townsend ... within three months last, died intestate... that your Petitioner is his widow" and desires to be appointed adm'x. Approved.
    30 May 1839: Inventory of "Estate of Oliver Reed late of Townsend in the County of Middlesex Deceased"
    4 Jun 1839: admin'x made oath to inventory of $3560 real and $7486.84 & also $49 personal.
    4 Jun 1839: Petition of Letty Read "was the lawful wife of the said deceased at the time of his death, and is now his widow and is entitled to a reasonable allowance".
    5 Nov 1839: Petition of Letty Read for dower. Given 10 Dec 1839
    1 Sep 1840: Account of administratrix. Endorsed: "We the subscribers Catharine F. Reed Heir at Law of the Estate of Oliver Reed Late of Townsend in the County of Middlesex Tanner deceased intestate and Warren Wilson Guardian of James O Reed Harriet J Reed and Hannah W Reed minors and heirs at Law of said Estate ... have no objection to the same being allowed."

    17 May 1839: "Harriet J. Read & Hannah W. Read, minors above the age of fourteen years, daughters of Oliver read, late of Townsend in the county of Middlesex, deceased, ... made choice of Warren Wilson, tanner of Middlann[?] village in said county of Middlesex to be their Guardian.
    4 Jun 1839: bond of Warren Wilson of Chelsmford.
