Deceased Name: Norma Guymon, 90, Carthage, Ill.
CARTHAGE, Ill. – Norma Jeannette Burling Guymon, 90, passed away at 8:03 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Ill.
Norma was born Aug. 15, 1926, the daughter of Harry LeRoy and Geraldine Marshall Burling, at the farm home northwest of Ferris (McCall).
She attended school at McCall and Carthage High School, graduating in 1944.
On July 24, 1944, she was united in marriage to Leland Laurence Guymon, and they farmed all their married life after he returned from the Navy in 1946.
Norma is survived by a daughter, Lori Lee Guymon Walker of Payson, Ariz.; two granddaughters, Tracy Lynn Walker and Cristin Keely Suess; sister, Maxine L. Bell of Carthage; sister-in-law, Irene Guymon of Colusa, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 30, 1983; and brother, Marshall Burling.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage.
Interment will be in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be directed to Burnside Methodist Church in Burnside, Ill.
Printy Funeral Home in Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
