Will of "Nathan Hide of Newton ... Yeoman Being weak in body", dated 27 Sep 1780, heirs cited 4 Oct 1780, proved 4 Apr 1781, names wife Bethiah Hide; son Nathan Hide [under 21]; brother Abraham Hide; daughter Sarah Hide, daughter Anner Hide, Daughter Bethiah Hide, daughter Elisabeth Hide, sons Jonathan & Nathan. Wife to be executrix. 4 Apr 1781: Bond of Bethiah Hide widow as executrix. 2 May 1781: Inventory of estate of Nathan Hide late of Nathan yeom. deceased testate by John Eddy, Joshua Murdock, Benjamin Eddy Jun'r. 24 Sep 1782: Inventory of remaining estate of Nathan Hide by Joshua Murdock, Joseph White & William Hammond. 3 Apr 1785: Bond of John King Physician as administrator with will annexed "in the room of Bethiah Hide the executrix deceased" on estate of Nathan Hide. Previous bond 7 Aug 1784 labelled Nathan intestate. 29 Apr 1786: Upheld claim of Sarah Hide, and administratrix of Amos Hyde, to receive £10 from the estate "in her own right", it being money held by Nathan as guardian for her legacy from her grandfather John Prentice [see also Middlesex case 11268]. Bef 5 May 1790 (when judge accepts report): Real estate split between sons Jonathan and Nathan, they paying fees. [Guardian file 11270, 11271: Jonathan, Anna & Bethiah, all of them more than fourteen, choose Mr Samuel Hide of Newton as their guardian. Bond given 2 May 1781. 2 May 1781: Bond of Samuel Hide as guardian of Nathan & Elizabeth minors under the age of fourteen. 1 Dec 1784: Bond of Mr Samuel Hide of Newton as guardian unto Nathan Hide at his own election, more than fourteen years of age.]
