    Mildred Hatfield

    Mildred F. Hatfield, 69, of Kansas City, Mo., died on Mon., Feb. 28, 1983, at the Rockhill Care Center in Kansas City where she had been a patient for a short time.

    The daughter of Clarence and Delia Merchant, she was born on Sept. 4, 1913, in Springfield, Mo.

    On Nov. 28, 1938, in Unionville, she was married to Herbert Hatfield who survives.

    Also surviving are one son, Oris Ballard of the State of Oregon; four daughters, Lucy Ballard, Lucille Ballard, Luella Ballard, and Louise Ballard, all of whom live away from here; one sister-in-law, Callie Briley of Kansas City, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren.

    Mildred has resided in Kansas City since 1938.

    Graveside services were held Tues., March 1, 1983, at the Shipley Cemetery north of Hartford, Mo., with Bill Peters officiating. Services were under the direction of the Husted-Scudiero Funeral Home in Unionville.
