Biography

Michael Dietsch, one of the largest landowners and stock raisers in Auglaize County, was born at Kassawessa, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, August 30, 1831, and came to this county thirty-eight years ago. His father and mother were Michael and Dorothea Dietsch.

In 1853, he was married to Miss Lydia A. Beringer, and two children, Sarah, and Mary C., have been born to them.

Mr. Dietsch owns a splendid farm, and for years has been adding to his possessions, devoting most of his time to the buying of cattle for market. He is a thorough businessman, and enjoys the confidence and esteem of all who know him.
