”MARY SHELINE GARWOOD Mary Sheline Garwood was the daughter of Andrew and Ann Sheline and was born in Carrol County, Ohio, July 7, 1841, and departed this life at the home of her sister, Mrs. Jennie Eichelberger, Springfield, Mo., March 6, 1931, age being 89 years, 7 months and 27 days. She was married to Sylvanus Garwood Feb. 3, 1859, and spent the whole of the happy years of their married life in and near Edon. The husband preceded her in death some nine years ago, after which she made her home some two years with her sister Samantha Brooks, and late went to her sister in Springfield, Mo. where for seven years she enjoyed the richest hospitality. A niece, Florance Eichelberger, nursed and other wise cared for her, never wearying in her toil to make her comfortable always at her service day or night counting it a pleasure to make an aged aunt, her mother's sister, happy and contented. The Lord will reward her. The deceased came to Edon when but 14 years of age, and was a member of a family of nine children, three sisters and one brother preceding her. She united with the Church of Christ in her youth and so continued in her faith throughout life. Unfortunately she did not enjoy the best of health for many uears, and in consequence of an accident was confined to her home, ever after denying her the happy privilege of attending church services. Her retiring nature and modest manner, coupled with her timidity and frailty, likewise hindered in regular worship with God's people. She leaves behind two sisters and two brothers, Jennie eichelberger of Springfield, Mo.; Samantha Brooks, Edon, O.; Frank Sheline, Chicago, Ill.; and Edwin K. Sheline, Butler, Ind., and many, many friends.

"There is a calm for those who weep, A rest for the weary pilgrims found; And while the smouldering ashes sleep, Low in the ground, The soul of origin divine, God's glorious image freed from clay, In Heaven's eternal sphere shall shine A star of Day."

Card of thanks. - We wish to express our sincere appreciation for the kind words and special favors shown in may ways by our many friends and neighbors while our sister remained for interment. Mrs. Samantha Brooks Frank Sheline Edwin K. Sheline
