    "Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Esther Yockey, 79, who died at her home here July 29, were held Wednesday afternoon from Triinity (sic) Lutheran church with Rev. O. L. Levorson officiating. Burial was made in the Hartington cemetery. Pall bearers were: Charles Erickson, M. Smith, H. Tack, Ed Carlson, C. Olson, Robert Sweet and Elmer Parks. Reifert's Funeral Service was in charge.

    "Mary Preston was born September 15, 1866 at DeKalb, Ill. While still in Illinois Miss Preston was married to William H. Hare. To this union six children were born. Following the death of Mr. Hare she was married to Frank Yockey at Oelwein, Ia., April 15, 1901.

    "Mr. and Mrs. Yockey came to the Hartington vicinity from Independence, Ia., in 1906 nad continued to live in Cedar county. Mr. Yockey died in February 1927.

    "Mrs. Yockey was affilitated with Trinity Lutheran church and was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

    "Surviving Mrs. Yockey are seven children: Mrs. Minnie Preston, Iliff, Col., Frank Hare, Independence, Ia., Bert Hare, Hartington, Alice Preston, Coleridge, Rose Hare, Hartington, Mrs. Richard Mathiason, Hartington, and Roy Yockey, West Point.

    "Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Preston, Iliff, Colo.; Mrs. Daisy Hare, Sidney; mr. and Mrs. Frank Hare, Independence, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Yockey, West Point; and Nora and Leonard Andrews of Colridge."
