It's just me again, I'm trying to get all my things done before I get ready for bed. My husband is having surgery tomorrow and don't know when I'll get to be back on the computer. I talked with my nephew whose mother was Nellie Nix Gilliland's daughter, Mary Lee. Here is a list of names of other children of Nellie Nix Gilliland and Roscoe Gilliland. 1. Gene 2. Marie married ? Vines 3. Opal married ? Goodwin 4. Ruby 5. Kennith My nephew said that as far as he knew all of the children are dead except Kennith who is the youngest child. He also said that his mom, Mary Lee died in Griffin, Georgia as the result of an automobile accident in June or July of 1985. He also said that Nellie was at one time living in Griffin, Georgia but he wasn't sure where she was living when she died. In the pages of school pictures that Bill & Earline sent me had some Gillilands, the only one that I reckonized from the names my nephew gave me was Kennith. I'm sure the other Gilliland children were related somehow. Hope to hear from you soon, Chris

Dalton, It was good to hear from you. The information below is the death of Nellie L. Nix Gillilan's husband. I recall that Nellie is in your Nix Family. Since receiving this I haven't gone back to my information on all Roscoe's daughters married names but I am sure that some of them are different from what my nephew gave me. So without knowing for sure, some of them must have had more than one spouse. With this information I find that Roscoe & Nellie's daughter Mary Lee Gillilan Kelsoe by 1956 had apparently been married three times. Mary Lee's first marriage was to my oldest brother. (Fact, I have a copy of marriage certificate.) Second marriage to a Spence (last name was Spence according to 1946 Etowah Co. School Census). Third marriage to a Bryant (according to the obit from Gadsden Times). Anyhow I just wanted to pass it along to you. Hope to hear from you soon, Chris
