    Dallas Young Lady is Honored by the Sons of Veterans

    Miss Martha Scurry of Dallas has been appointed by General Nathan Bedford Forrest, commander in chief of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, to serve as maid of honor to the sponsor in chief at the reunion of Confederate Veterans and Sons of Veterans to be held in Chattanooga, Tenn., Oct. 24 to 28. Miss Scurry is the granddaughter of General R. M. Gano, a Confederate veteran, grandneice of General W. R. Scurry, who gave his life on the battlefield April 30, 1864, and is the daughter of the late General Thomas Scurry, a Spanish-American War veteran.
