Martha Bryant is my gg-great grandmother. She is reputed to be the illegitimate daughter of Rachel Bryant and Eli Stewart, born about 1837 in Estill County KY, however she was living in the household of Ambrose Hollon and Happy Jones in the 1850 Breathitt County census (two doors away from McKinley Maloney!). She married Sam Henry Noble about 1856 and is listed living next to Evan Bryant in the 1860 Breathitt County census. I suspect that Martha is somehow related to Evan, but not sure how. I haven't yet found any information on Rachel Bryant, but I also haven't spent a lot of time on the Bryant family.
