Mark Clay Gentry Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Mark Clay Gentry, Sr., 48, of Grant,will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2006 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Ronnie Estes officiating.Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, in Hamilton Cemetery in Grant. Visitation will be from 4 until 9 p.m. today, June 22, and Friday from 8 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home.

Mr. Gentry was a native of Shreveport, grew up in Lake Charles and had lived in Grant for the past 14 years. Mark retired from Conoco and at the time of his death, he was employed at B P America. He died at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette "Jenny" Reed Gentry and two brothers, John Bert and Michael Wayne Gentry.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Denise Dewey Gentry of Grant; two sons, Mark Clay Gentry, Jr. of Hattiesburg, Miss.,and Keith Michael Gentry of Lake Charles; one grandson, Branson Gentry; father and step-mother, E.W. "Pete" and Betty Gentry ofMinden; and one brother, Ed Gentry and wife Beth of Lake Charles.
