My grandmother's notes that Jonathan married a Bone, but her daughter's obit from Sayer Co. Library in OK. said her mother maiden name was Hershey. Judith Hart said her information on Lydia Hershey & Jonathan Emmert looked suspicious, so I am going with her information from their marriage back. I don't know what to do with Judith Hart's info on their son John A. EMMERT was born 15 Dec 1865 in Raritan Twp., Monmouth, New Jersey.

- ↑ Obituary From The Gospel Messenger, Aug. 26, 1890:
Emmert, In the Mineral Creek church Johnson Co., Mo., July 15, sister Lydia, wife of Jonathan Emmert, aged 72 years, 4 months and 8 days. Deceased was born in Washington County, Md., March 7, 1818. Nov. 26, 1884, this dear sister was struck with paralysis which took from her the power to walk. For nearly six years she was seated in her invalid chair, which she could move about from place to place in the house. She did not murmur or complain but was cheerful and patient looking forward to the time when she would be released from the bond of affliction and be at liberty. We feel sure that her wish is now fully realized. She leaves a bereaved husband, a son, a daughter and grandchildren to mourn their loss. Funeral sermon by Bro Jacob Witmore from the words, "I have fought a good fight," etc. to a sympathizing congregation at Centre View, Mo., where deceased was buried. Amanda Witmore
