Lucille Layell

BURLINGTON — Mrs.. Lucille Layell, 67, of 3125 Rock Hill Road, died at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. James J. Layell, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. Gary Moser and Mrs.. Flora Moser Moser, both deceased. She was retired nurses’ aide from Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. Survivors other than her husband include a daughter, Mrs.. Sandra Kallam of Burlington; a son, Mr. Randy Layell of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs.. Emily Gurkin and Mrs.. Sarah Totten Hall, both of Burlington; a brother, Mr. Gene Moser of Burlington; two stepbrothers, Mr. Ray Sharpe of Elon College and Mr. Roger Sharpe of Snow Camp; and five grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Landmark Apostolic Church by the Rev. Glenn McDonald, pastor. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home.
