    "Sherwood, Lemuel, s. of Matthew. Deacon of Stratfield Church, and Town Clerk of Fairfield. He d. 2 Sept. 1732.

    Will of Dea. Lemuel, 4 Aug. 1732, proved 1 Oct. 1732; wife Ann; daus. Ann, Abiah, Mehitabel; son Matthew is to confirm Sergt. John Odell and his son William and Lt. John Burr in lands Lemuel had sold them which accrued from Est. of father Wheeler in right of Lemuel's late wife Experience, mother of said son Matthew; lands to sons Matthew and Samuel; wife and eldest son Matthew, Exec'rs; to sons Andrew and Samuel their mother's dower in my real estate.

    Distribution, 14 Feb. 1732/3, to widow Ann; 29 Sept. 1733, to Ann, Abiah and Mehitabel Sherwood, daus. of Dea. Lemuel; 4 Dec. 1734, to Matthew and Samuel, sons of Dea. Lemuel.

    He conveyed 1712 to Jonathan Wheeler, land he had with wife Ann Wheeler, now dec'd.

    David Middlebrook and Abiah his wife, and Elnathan Hubbell and Mehitabel his wife, all of Stratford, conveyed 18 Mar. 1749 to bro. John Brooks of Stratford, right from our mother Experience Wheeler dec'd."
