    Goodspeed's indicates that Joseph M. and Maria Owen Sadler had thirteen children and moved from Franklin County, Alabama, to Chickasaw County, Mississippi, in 1846, after which Joseph "spent the remainder of his life as a progressive planter and a worthy and public-spirited citizen."
