Arrived at Port Chalmers (Otago) on 6th Dec, 1872. All passengers and crew were held on board and then put on Quarantine Island, then transferred to Sandspit Island (crown lands at the Spit were proclaimed a quarantine station) until all signs of scarlet-fever and typhoid were eliminated. There were 42 cases of sickness, with 13 deaths during the voyage. They were finally allowed to land on shore on 26th Dec 1872, then they travelled to Waihola where they settled and brought up their families.
