    'John Wright, b. 1547, d. 1640 without issue, m. July 13, 1577, Mary Fielde.'

It appears that this represents the confusion of two John Wrights from different generations. If John was the eldest surviving son of Robert and Mary (Green) Wright (as all evidence suggests), he must have been born before 1547, and thus was very unlikely to have lived to 1640. Since this book confuses two John Wrights, and since Wright and Ketcham's (more reliable) History of the Wright Family does not mention a wife for John, son of Robert and Mary (Green) Wright, who would have been around 40 by 1577, it seems unlikely that the John Wright who married Mary Fielde was the son of Robert and (Mary Green) Wright.

  6. Birth year estimated based on christening dates of two of his siblings, and the fact that he was likely the oldest son. See citation and associated notes in his parents' record for more information.

The Ancestral File (14PT-NZC) gives his christening date as 2 Sep 1543 in St. Peter's, South Weald and an alternate (birth) date of 16 Jan 1547. However, a reliable book published in 1913 that gives christening dates of two of his siblings does not include his christening date. Since several dates given in the Ancestral File for his father's family appear to have been fabricated, I assume his christening and birth date were also fabricated, or possibly apply to other individuals.
