    Services are pending at Gaines and Son Funeral Home for John Henry Morgan, 53, Topeka, who died Thursday in a Topeka hospital. He was born August 23, 1920 in Hutchinson and lived in Topeka most of his life.

    Mr. Morgan was a member of East Eighth Street Baptist Church, Asst. Scout Master of Troop 142, a member of KTI Alumni, Shopman's Local Union 582 of Topeka and was a veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.

    Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jarris Morgan of the home; 2 daughters, Denise Morgan, Wichita and Cheryl Jefferson, of the home; 5 sons, John H. Morgan, III,
    Jack Jefferson and Edwin Jefferson, all of the home, Robert Jenkins, Kansas City, Kan., and David Morgan, Wichita; his mother, Mrs. Mabel Morgan, Topeka; 2
    sisters, Mrs. Ella Mae Hicks, Topeka, and Mrs. Nellie Morgan, Kansas City, Mo.; and a grandchild.

    Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Topeka.
