    John King, s/o Jonathan King and Alice Verry, g. 19 Jan 1737, m. 10 Jan 1758 Elizabeth Town. Includes a story how he posted bond for a debtor, only to have the debtor flee leaving him responsible, losing everything. When contacted the debtor fabricated claims that put John in jail. "A short time" after he was released [year not specified] he died, age fifty-eight.
