    John W. Henderson, 82, Long-time resident of the Auburn community, died Wednesday at his home.

    He was born April 10, 1869, in Scotland and came to Topeka when he was 10. He was a member of the Auburn Presbyterian Church.

    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Henderson of the home; four sons, Sam Henderson of Wakarusa, John Henderson of route 7, Robert Henderson of route 5 and William Henderson of Maple Hill; a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Malm of route 9; two brothers Donald Henderson of route 7 and Humphrey Henderson of route 9; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Whitten and Miss Janet Henderson of Wakarusa, 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

    Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery. The family requests no flowers. Wall-Diffenderfer will announce arrangements.
