Easter, John - entered service abt. age 20 in Big Spring, Washington County, Maryland; born in that County 1/17/1760*; moved abt. 1796 to Hampshire County (area later Morgan County), Virginia; granted Pension 1832 in Morgan County, Virginia; query letter in 1921 from descendant Etta (Mr. Thomas L.) Lee, Vincennes, Indiana; query letter 1906 from great grandson Earle P. Lee, Terre Haute, Indiana, states soldier died at home in Morgan County, Indiana, abt. 1846, further soldier has 2 living grandchildren (Sue Portmess, Firgerald, Georgia & Jacob Portmess, Hobart, Indiana) & they state soldier was born in Clear Springs, Maryland, 1761 & entered service 1778-9. F-S18389, R887.
