John Dorsey Arnold, 77, passed on October 19, 2007 at a hospice facility. He was born to John Paul Arnold and Myrtle Coleman in Gibson County, Tenn. on November 11, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Rosemary Fitzgerald. He worked as a Youth Service Worker for 33 years at the Youth Center of Topeka and retired in 1987. He graduated from Rosenwald School in Tennessee. He was in the Army. He was a member of the Eastside COGIC church. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Barbara Arnold, three sons, Jerrell Burnett, Mark Arnold, Ronnie (Bridgette) Arnold all of Topeka and Tevis (Alesia) Arnold grandson reared as son, one daughter, Carolyn K. Arnold, Topeka, three sisters, Mary Whayne Helen Chapman, both of Topeka and Shirley Arnold, Minneapolis, Minn.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends .Instate: Wednesday, October 24; 4-8p.m.; family 6-8p.m. at Bowser-Johnson Funeral Chapel.
