At Seaforth Community Hospital on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, Johanna M. Van Dooren of Seaforth in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Joseph. Dear mother of Rita and Jim Phillips, Stratford, Laura and Jeff Patterson, Dealtown, John and Marian Van Dooren, Seaforth, Mary and Tony Vanden Hengel, Seaforth, Nancy and Gerald Jordan, Dublin, Theresa Gilbert, Barrie and Diane Paterson, Seaforth. Loving Oma of 21 grandchildren and great-Oma of 18 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her siblings Harry and Gerda Van Arkel, Sarnia, Frances Van Asseldonk, Wallaceburg, Netty Van Beers, Chatham, Nellie and Andy Diepstraten, Chatham, Frank Van Beers, Dutton, Andy Van Loon, Kitchener, John and Judy Van Beers, Goderich, Jane and John Diepstraten, California, and many brothers and sisters-in-law in Holland. Johanna will be joining her parents Laurentius and Hendrina (Sanders) Van Arkel and Johannes Van Beers, son-in-law Thomas Paterson, and Mary Van Loon, Adrian and Nelly Van Arkel, Willy Van Beers, Joe Van Beers and Martin Van Asseldonk in heaven. Family will receive friends at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1:45 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 11:00 am at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Seaforth. Fr. Chris Gillespie will officiate. Interment St. James Cemetery.
