JESSY MEDLIN (OBIT) SALEM- Jessy L. "Shorty" Medlin, 73, Route 1, Flat Sholes Community, husband of Mary Wilson Medlin, died Saturday at Georgia Baptist Hospital, Atlanta. Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late John and Lelia Nis Nedlin. He was a retired dispaatcher at Oconee County Law Enforcement Center, a U.S. Army World War II veteran, and was of the Wesleyanh faith. Surviving are his widow; a son, Arthur Medlin of Salem; a daughter, Mrs Rita Chapman of Walhalla; a brother, Colon Meldin of Seneca; a sister, Mrs. Edna Crosby of Fort McCoy, Fla.; amd sevem grandchildren. Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Mountain Wiew Wesleyan Church conducted by the Revs. Ned Hunnicutt and David Harden. Burial was in the church cemetery. Daavenpport Funeral Home was in charge of arrangaments.
