JEROME BONAPARTE POMEROT died at Wallingford, Conn., August 9, 1866, aged nearly 58 years. He was the son of Elisha M. and Lydia Pomeroy, and was born in Wallingford, September 13, 1808. He entered upon the practice of his profession in North Branford, Conn., but after some time, engaged in a manufacturing business, in which he continued until 1858. In 1860 he was appointed Post Master in Wallingford, and occupied this position at the time of his death.
He was married, October 14, 1829, to Miss Cornelia D. Hall, of Wallingford, who died in 1850, leaving five children, all of whom are now living.
His second wife, Miss Elizabeth H. Child, survives him, with three children.
