Obituary

    Attorney Arthur Yockey, 77, of Taylorville died Thursday afternoon in the Decatur and Macon County Hospital.  He had been in ill health for several years.
    Attorney Yockey was born near Grove City on March 8, 1875, the son of Jacob and Sarah Martin Yockey.  He graduated from Chicago Law School.
    Active in political life of the county in the early years of his career, Attorney Yockey was elected state's attorney, on the Democratic ticket in 1908.  He also served the city of Taylorville as city attorney a number of years ago.
    Surviving are three sisters, Misses Emma and Louisa Yockey of this city and Mrs. Frank Devin of Chicago and his brother, Dr. William Yockey of Decatur.
    The body is at the Chestnut-Pearce & Connolly Funeral Home, Taylorville.
