    Looking for the family bible of Isaac Ritchie who died March 28, 1843 in Butler Township, Columbiana County, Ohio. His wife's name was Margaret. The names of some of the Children would be John W. and George R. I believe this family was from Virginia or Maryland.


    The Isaac Ritchie you seek is actually Isaac Ritchie Jr., born 1772 in Frederic County, Maryland.He married there, to Margaretha (Rebecca) Shaffer, and migrated with their family in about 1805 to Columbiana County, Ohio.A brother of Isaac Ritchie Jr. also migrated to Columbiana County at about the same time with his family.This is set forth along with a detailed history of these families in Maryland, VA and PA, including their parents, and their immigrant ancestors, husband and wife, in a recently published book.These are the ancestors of most of the Ritchie/Ritchey etc. descendants who live in northeast Ohio.This book is hardback with 240 pages, some in color, and with many documents and illustrations from the 1700s and 1800s.The genealogical research was done by many professionals over a 5-6 year period.Copies of this book are available by writing to Ritchey Book, P.O.
