Isaac2 Bronson, son of John1 and probably Frances (Hills) Bronson, was born at Hartford or, more likely, Farmington Connecticut, about 1645. He was baptized by Thomas Hooker at Hartford on 7 December 1645. … A list of children with their ages in Farmington Church records say Isaac was "12 years old, about January 1657." If January 1657/8 is intended, Isaac's age is in accord with his baptism. He died at Waterbury, Connecticut, before 23 February 1718/9 when the court ordered his inventory to be taken.
He was called "Sergt." on the daughter Mary's marriage record at Waterbury in 1700.
While many printed sources, beginning with Bronson's History, say Isaac's inventory was taken 29 February 1719/20, it was of "Feby 1719[/]20" that Isaac Jr. brought the inventory to court where it was recorded together with the agreement and bond. The day is not easy to read, but the 5 matches another 5 on the same page and does not really look like a 9.
