Inez McLain

GREENVILLE -- Inez Vivian McLain, 86, of Winston Salem, N.C., formerly of Silva, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, in Winston Salem.

Mrs. McLain was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Union, N.Y. A Baptist missionary, she and her husband retired from Missionary Acres at Silva in 1972. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Winston Salem.

On June 21, 1941, she married Edward Guy McLain. He preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1976.

Survivors include two sons, Philip E. McLain of Harrisburg, Penn., and Jonathan Guy McLain of Brazil; one brother, Carl A. Hills of Salem, Ore.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Evangel Baptist Church in Silva, followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Hunsberger and the Rev. Charles Nichols officiating. Burial will be at Twidwell Cemetery in Clubb.

Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Baptist Mid-Missions of Cleveland.
