Whereas I have agreed with Mr. BRYAN FAIRFAX for certain lands adjoining my dwelling plantation & have already paid him in part the sum of Ninety Eight pounds current money, it is my will my Exec tors, after discharging my debts, pay Mr. Fairfax the money that shall remain in their hands & take his deed in the name of my children .. but if my Executors shall think it more to the advantage of my children to have no more land from Mr. Fairfax than I have already paid for, my desire is that they then apply the Overplus as my Executors shall think proper. As to the land whereon I live & which is before excepted from the Sale of my other lands, I desire it may be equally divided in Quantity & Quality, if my wife should now be with child & have a son, I desire my son have his choice of one moiety .. the other moiety to be equally divided among my three daughters, SYBIL, JEMIMA & SARAH, but if my wife should bear a girl, then my desire is that the whole tract of land be equally divided among my four daughters as coheirs ..
My will that my Executors shall not find it necessary to sell my lands already mentioned to be sold, that then the said land be equally divided among all my children born or unborn.
