Obituary from unknown date & newspaper, most likely a Topeka paper.

Hezekiah Sherrets was born Feb. 20, 1846 in Tuscarawas county, Ohio and died March 19, aged 68 years and 129 days.

He was married to Catherine Riley, Sept. 2, 1869 in Shanesville, Ohio. Seven children were born to them, five of whom are now living--Mrs. Mary Walton of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Mrs. Carrie Lloyd of Willard, Mrs. June Steffee of Auburn, John Sherrets of Willard and W. A. Sherrets of Dover. His descendants include 22 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He came to Kansas in 1889 and has made his home in Valencia and surrounding neighborhoods ever since.

He will be remembered by a large circle of friends and neighbors as a man who was honest in all his dealings, and one who felt deeply the losses of the poor and unfortunate. The sympathy of all their friends is heartily given to the family in their great sorrow.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. E. Roberts of the Congregational church at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Dover M. E. church.

The Woodman lodge of which Bro. Sherrets was a member took charge of the interment service at the Dover cemetery.
