    QUAY 3 "After a few days illness, Mr. Harry M. Thornton, proprietor of the Queen's Hotel, died on Thursday morning [7/27] of blood poisoning...Deceased took to his bed on Monday and on Thursday morning passed away, after having received the last rites of the Church, administered by Rev. Fr. Sweeney, of Barrie. Deceased was born in 1862 and brought up on the homestead at Jarratt, remaining there until he entered into business at Atherly. After conducting the hotel there for three or four years he purchased the business at the Queen's two years ago and moved to Orillia. Eight years ago he married Miss [Margaret] Doyle, daughter of Cornelius Doyle of Mara, and sister of Rev. Father Doyle. Besides his widow he leaves four children and two brothers, Michael of Warminster and Thomas, of the Queen' s, and two sisters, Mrs. Hewiss and Mrs. Delaire, of Midland. The funeral...took place on Saturday morning [7/29]. Rev. Father Sweeney, of Barrie, conducted special services at the Church of the Angels Guardian...The Catholic Foresters, of which deceased was a member, attended in a body,,,:'
