'Court records [Spotsylvania 1737/38] have turned up a case with Henry M. Franklin b. 1715 in Essex county cited as aka "Harry Long", who would have been 21 at the time. Speculating this to have been *Henry3's son, it suggests "Harry's" parents had died and Harry was adopted by the Franklyns.'

    * Henry3 refers to Henry Long, born about 1683, whose records are described in the previous paragraph, and whose wife's name was known to be Ann.
