Obituary taken from the Bryan Times, Nov. 5, 1994, p. 3 HARRY MCLAIN BECHTOL Montgomery, Mich. -- Harry McLain Bechtol, 76, died Friday, Nov. 4, 1994 at his home. the son of Demerit Bechtol and Grace McClain, Mr. Bechtol was born March 25, 1918 in Montpelier. He was married to Maxine M. Brigle who preceded him in death in 1992. Mr. Bechtol was an engineer on the Wabash & Norfolk & Western Railroads. He retired in 1978. He was a member of the Hillsdale Masonic Lodge, the V.F.W. Post 3323 of Westland, the American Legion 156 of Montgomery and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He is survived by: two sons; roger and Carol Bechtol, of Taylor; Danny Lee Bechtol, Westland and One daughter, Mrs. Carl (Patty) Sissom, Bradyville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters; Mrs. Willard (Blanche) Milliman, of Hillsdale, Mich.; Ms. Beverly Betts, Montpelier and a close friend, Barbara Simonyi. He was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters. Visitation for Mr. Bechtol will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home in Montpelier. Masonic rites will be at 7 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at the funeral home on Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mark C. Vermik officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier with military rites. References
