Mary Nye Fuller(1942-2011)
Mary Nye Fuller, 94, died peacefully at her home Monday, Feb. 7, 2011.
She was the daughter of Robert Eugene Nye and Clara Kampf Nye. Mary married Harold E. Fuller June 20, 1942. She has gone to join her husband who died Nov. 12, 2002.
Mary taught in Russell, Windsor, Montville, Thompson, Ledgemont and served as a principal in Grand Valley and Ledgemont. She was awarded the Martha Jenning Scholar Award.
Mary loved serving others, and took care of young and old that came her way. She was a lifetime member of Hartsgrove Community Church, and Eastern Star Lily Chapter 21, and Covered Bridge Chapter 591. She served as Worthy Matron and Deputy Grand Matron District One.
She is survived by her children, Cyndy (Mark) Vogley of Chagrin Falls, Jim (Lynne) Fuller of Kirtland, David (Dawn) Fuller of Hartsgrove, Robbi (Mike) Zakowski of Colebrook, and Marie (Dave) Bowlby of Guilford, Conn.; siblings, Cynthia Marsh of Orwell, Perry Nye of Hartsgrove, Betsy Holmes of Mill Valley, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; daughter, June Carol Fuller; and brother, William Robert (JoAnne) Nye.
Funeral services will be officiated by The Rev. Gordon Emerson at Hartsgrove Community Church, 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at Paine- Guerriero Funeral Home, 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. at the church. There will be an Eastern Star Service 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family at the funeral home.
