    HARLAN P. SAUNDERS Harlan P. Saunders was born at Albion, Wisconsin, October 16th, 1855, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P. L. Schroeder at Madison, on Wednesday, March 14th, 1928.
    He was the eldest son of Raymond D. and Abigail Burdick Saunders. The first 48 years of his life were spent at Albion, after which he lived for fifteen years at Edgerton and for the past ten years has resided at Madison. He received his education at Albion Academy and became a member of the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church.
    On January 13, 1887, he was married to Nellie A. Casler, of Evansville, Wisconsin, who preceded him in death on October 25th, 1923.
    There were six children, all of whom survive him; five daughters, Mrs. Harold Babcock, Albion; Iva Saunders, Delevan; Mrs. P. L. Schroeder, Madison; Clare Saunders, New York City; and Mrs. A. L. Genisot, Rhinelander. One son, Raymond E. Saunders, Albion, and one granddaughter, Marjorie Jane Saunders. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. L. Spencer, Albion and Mrs. C. S. Randolph, Lodi, California, and two brothers, Charles E. Saunders, Irvington, Alabama and J. Clarence Saunders, Vallejo, California.
    Funeral services were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Babcock at Albion, Saturday afternoon, March 17th, conducted by the Rev. J. H. Hurley. Internment at the Evergreen cemetery at Albion.
