- Will of GILES VANDAGESTEEL.
- I Giles vandagesteel of Stafford County being sick and weak at this present time .. give and bequeath the land I bought of THOMAS STAFFORD unto my Daughter PRISCILLA if my wife be not with child of a man child .. unto MARTHA TILLET the daughter of JOHN TILLET deced the 100 acres of land lying at Ocququon which I gave in exchange for the land which I give unto WILLIAM STINSON, THOMAS MARLEY & DANL. MARLEY .. the 150 acres of land I had of John Tillet with the proviso they pay according to agreement that is 4500 pounds of Tobo. 1500 this year and the remainder the year following ,. to my Cousin SARAH TILLLT three cows and calves .. 1 will and require my Cousin John Tillet as soon as of full ago to make over the land which I formerly gave his Brother JOHN TELLET the same land to make over to his younger Brother BONONY for the which I forgive him all debts due from him to me of tobacco Corne and goods & I do bequeath a ring of 15s price .. to my Daughter SARAH a ring of 20 shillings price .. require all my estate to be equally divided according to law between my loving wife MARTHA and her and or children by me begotten .. appoint my trusty and well beloved friend JOHN BALL, HENRY HALEY SENR. & ROBT. WILLIAMS Planter my Executors in Trust I give a ring of 12s price. GEORGE MASON and JOHN WAUGH JUNR. Gent, as being my honoured Friends in my lifetime I do humbly their assistance if my Excrs. require it .. none of my Estate be appraised „ that my wife not be dispossessed my plantation I now dwell upon till my daughter Sarah come to age fourteen or married .. this 28th day Febry. 1699.
