KAMPERMAN, Gerrit J., age 76, 501 - 6th Street, Lynden, passed away suddenly at his home Sunday, Oct. 7th, (1962). A native of Holland he had been a resident of the Lynden area since 1927 and had owned and operated the Kamperman Service at the Lynden Border Crossing for 16 years prior to retiring four years ago. Surviving are his wife Jacoba, at home; three sons Fred of Arcadia, Calif., Edward of San Diego, and George of Albany, Oregon; three daughters Mrs. Al Steen of Arlington, Mrs. John Scheffer, Rt. 2, Everson, and Mrs. Gary Hepburn of Seattle; also 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Gillies Funeral Home, Wed., Oct. 10th, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. William Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Monumenta Cemetery.
