Gail has that George moved from Jefferson Co., Tennessee to Lawrence County, Indiana between 1809 & 1820. 1830 census shows living in neighboring Washington Co., IN while John is in Lawrence Co. This is the last entry for George as he probably dies before the 1840 census which shows his wife Bethia (Tabbitha) now living with John.

1820 Census of Lawrence County, Indiana George Geiger 210110-110102

1830 Census of Washington County, Indiana p. 313. George Giger 2120001-1123001 I do not think he moved from 1820 to 1830, but the county boundary lines changed around him.

The book "The Giger's" has children as: John b. 1808; Susan b. 1809; Larkin b. 1812; Lavenny b. Bef. 1815; Louisa b. 1816; Ulysees b. ?; Elizabeth b. Bef. 1820; Matilda b. 1820; Isiah b. 1822; George III b. 1825; Minerva b. 1828; Wiley b. 1829; One more child, name unknown.

I believe that the Elizabeth Gyger mentioned above may be the Elizabeth N. Gyger that I have a file on.

Copy of wedding agreement in my possession says:

Know all men by these presents that we George Gyger & Rickets Copeland are held and firmly bound unto John Swier Govenor and his successors in office in the sum of Twelve hundred Fifty Dollars to be void on condition there be no cause to ob- struct the Marriage of the said George Gyger with Tabatha Henderson, Witness our hands & seals this 30th day of January 1804.

Rickets Copeland was a bondsman

Maggie Kyger Miller has that George was born in Pennsylvania and died in Washington County, Indiana. Washington and Lawrence County had a boundary change so this could account for the death location.
