2177, Franklin Dwight; b. Dec. 6, 1854; d. Nov. 10, 1872. He was in business in Boston, Mass., and was killed by a wall falling upon him at the great fire in that city, while trying to save others. He was accorded a public burial by the city of Boston.

He was engaged in a counting-house in Boston, and was killed at the great fire there Nov. 10, 1872, while trying to save others from destruction, by a wall falling upon him from a burning building. He was buried by was of honor at the expense of the city government.
